More feng shui bedroom tips

Beyond bed positioning (see bed positioning) , there are other considerations to the feng shui bedroom.

Choose a bed with a solid headboard

The best bed structure is a bed with a solid headboard. This gives the user more support (both literally and viscerally). Sleigh beds or other beds with solid headboards are ideal.

A muted bed and color combination Opt for muted shades

Muted shades tend to be more restful, and fabrics without large, busy prints also promote better sleep. Your bedroom should be a sanctuary, so select colors and fabrics with that in mind.

No water fountains

Many feng shui schools believe water in the bedroom is something to be avoided. It can lead to loss. Best to avoid water fountains and other water features such as aquariums here.

Avoid toilets behind bed

Don't place your bed in a position where it abuts a wall shared by a toilet. Some feng shui schools believe this can flush away marriage happiness.

No poison arrows

Poison arrows are "sharp" objects such as edges of books, book cases, open doorways. These should ot be pointing directly to the bed. If you cannot move your bed out of the way of the door, place a divider between it and the door.
