A Feng Shui Beginners Guide

Feng shui is the art of embracing your environment as if it really matters (of course it does!) and tailoring it to give you more of what you want, and less of what you don't want.

Feng shui beginners often think that they will be required to paint their front door red or have their house looking like a Chinese restaurant in order to incorporate feng shui principles. Nothing could be further from the truth -- unless you happen to LIKE that look! Feng shui simply helps you create an environment that nurtures you, your dreams and your desires. We all walk through like with blinders on, and necessarily so. We can't pay focused attention to everything going on around us or we would be driven crazy!

But the truth is, every bit of our environment is still there whether we dwell on it or not, and every bit of it impacts us. Needed repairs, clutter, poor flow of energy through a room, all of these have an impact on how we feel. We take tiny "hits" from these negative "stealth missiles" over and over, and they take their toll. We may push them to a subconscious level, but they're still there.
